  1. SAND DETECTION AND MANAGEMENT

 

Sand production is one the severe problems that occurs during flowing wells and after Frac. Operation. The destructive effect of sand is huge which leads to erosion and wash-out for the downstream equipment and pipelines. In such case, elimination of the root cause: the sand, is a must.

PICO Energy has a various and big selection of sand detection and management sets of equipment:

Cyclonic De-sander: separation of the sand takes place in the insert, with sand falling down into the accumulator. The selection of the insert size will suit the particular design conditions specified, covering a range of flow rates, fluid properties, and sand loads. The De-sander and accumulator vessels are separated by a double block and bleed ball valve system, and the accumulator itself drains through a similar arrangement. The de-sander is left online during purging process. It also has a holding space to collect solids separated in this period.

Sand Filter: designed to extract sand and other solid particles from the well effluent. It is rigged up before the Choke Manifold to apply a sand removal process and to avoid the destructive effect of sand on the rest of the equipment. It is equipped with a flushing system and drain to maintain continues well flow.

With this we carry 0.108”, 0.125”, 0.140” and 3/16” solid wires providing flexibility to cover wide diversity of slickline operation on the wells.

Our Zone 2 slickline units are manufactured with the latest technology and equipped with high tech.

  1. Water Flooding and Produced Water Disposal

 

In the oil industry, waterflooding or water injection is where water is injected into the oil field, usually to increase pressure and thereby stimulate production. Water injection wells can be found both on- and offshore, to increase oil recovery from an existing reservoir. Produced water is often used as an injection fluid.

PICO is currently working with Oil & Gas clients at developing an optimal condition water injection solution. We are also involved in a number of promising pilot trials where we are supplying water treatment technology and engineering work.
